The Granite City ARS Reubena Chapter will once again hold our Annual Souper Bowl Luncheon in support of the ARS, Eastern USA Sponsor A Child Program. The ARS Orphan’s Sponsorship program was established in 1992 for children who had lost parents during the earthquake in Armenia (1988) and now for the children of soldiers who had been killed during the war in Artsakh. This year we have many displaced families from Artsakh that need our unconditional support. Please join us in sponsoring these families, so we can care for their ongoing needs.
Instead of an “In Person” luncheon we will be offering pick up and drive by options to purchase these delicious soups to take home and be enjoyed by your friends and families. We will miss the fellowship and sharing a meal together but know until the COVID crisis is over this is the new normal for our church community activities.
We hope that you will order the soups to support this humanitarian mission – but, if you cannot participate in the luncheon and instead you wish to donate to our cause - you can send monetary support through the church’s Pay Pal. or directly to the ARSEUSA (see links below). We know that our members and community will support this very worthy humanitarian mission with your actions!
Our community’s belief in our mission helped us bring meaningful change and extend our healing hands to deliver the lifesaving humanitarian aid that our compatriots needed. This only proves that the organization that Edgar Agnouni founded in 1910 in New York continues to justify its humanitarian vocation today as it did yesterday.
