New COVID Protocol information:
“Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been
approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord
has promised to those who love Him.” James 1:12
This past year has been a challenging time for our community as it has been in most, if not all communities around the world. We all look forward to the time when we will come together and welcome each other with open arms as we did before the pandemic. In consideration of the newest CDC guidance, Der Taniel and the Board of Trustees have discussed and made changes to our COVID policies. This Sunday, May 30, will begin the first step in our transition back to normalcy.
Beginning this Sunday, fully vaccinated individuals are exempt from masking and social distancing policies during church and fellowship hour. To practice caution and protect our most vulnerable community members, we will be verifying the vaccination status of all eligible individuals. The greeters will be available to check your vaccination card (or a photocopy) to ensure you are fully vaccinated before you enter the sanctuary without a mask; Everyone will only need to show their card one time.
We wish to offer the following reminders to help with this new endeavor:
A person is considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after their final dose.
If you are fully vaccinated, you are still welcome to wear your mask as we want everyone to feel comfortable in attending church services and fellowship hour.
If you are not vaccinated, we ask that you continue to wear a mask and that you practice social distancing as we have been.
If you are not feeling well, we ask that you not attend church in person but please consider virtual options through the Prelacy.
We are extremely excited to move forward together in this next step and look forward to you joining us this summer. While we are looking forward to this next phase, we are trying to balance our elation with caution to ensure we are continuing to protect our community members, and keep the community adhering to the guidance provided. If you have any questions, please reach out to a BOT member.
We can’t wait to see you in church!

But the truth is, there were many widows in Israel in the time of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up for three years and six months, and there was a severe famine over all the land; yet Elijah was sent to none of them except to a widow at Zarephath in Sidon. There were also many lepers in Israel in the time of the prophet Elisha, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.’
