The Visiting Priest of St. Gregory Church

Our visiting priest, Der Taniel Manjikian and his family have been with us since March of 2021. During their tenure in Granite City, we have seen our outreach efforts grow tremendously. Through their work, we see increased attendance at Badarak and other cultural events in our community. Der Hayr and Yeretsgin take the extra step on special occasions to help parishioners and community members celebrate special days such as birthdays, and anniversaries by dropping in and offering a sweet treat and some thoughtful and prayerful words and fellowship. 

Der Taniel has offered educational series for our parishioners, during which he explained portions of different services of the hours, Badarak, and why we do what we do during servies and prayers. He has also encouraged many to serve on the altar and sing in the choir, with both groups having seen more participation from the youth in our community than we have in quite some time.

Der Hayr is always ready and willing to offer a kind smile, kind words, and loving fellowship.
