Prayer is the bond of the relationship that we as Christians have with the Almighty God. By praying, we get into touch with our beloved Lord. Praying makes us children of a Lord, who himself prayed in his earthly ministry.
One of the ways we pray is called intercessory prayer. We pray for a dear one in our family, in our friends circle, for our co-workers or anyone who is sick, having a hard time or is in need of prayer. Our obligation as a Christian is to always pray for others and ask the Lord to protect them and keep them in his grace and mercy. Our Church offers intercessory prayer every Sunday. We also announce the names of those who are in need of prayer, whether sick or for special occasions, and ask the whole congregation to pray for them. Our Board of Trustees has recently instituted a new "Prayer Chain" email which is sent to parishioners weekly with names of those in need of intercessory prayer.
